How to Clean Your Bathroom in a Rush

Oh, no: it seems that your guests are arriving earlier than expected — and your bathroom still needs to be cleaned! Of course, it appears that this essential room will be the most difficult to clean within seconds — but in actuality, it’s pretty simple. Not sure where to start? Here are some tips to clean that bathroom in under 10 minutes!

Supplies

Before you get started, you’ll need some essential supplies to get the job done. These supplies are simple to obtain around your home — which will lead to a spotless bathroom in no time! Here’s what you’ll need:

  • Paper towels or a microfiber cloth

  • Sponge

  • Toilet brush

  • Rubber gloves

  • All-purpose bathroom cleaner

Once you have acquired these supplies, it’s time to start the “dirty work”: cleaning your bathroom! However, we did promise that the task would take less-than 10 minutes — and with these tips, here’s how you’ll do it!

Step 1: Clean any Loose Ends

Initially, before starting the cleaning process, it’s essential to pick up any loose ends that may be laying around. Of course, this means, but is not limited to: your vanity sink, the floor, the shower (if you have glass doors) and anywhere else there may be clutter.

If you’re really in a rush, then you can place these odds and ends in a drawer until your company leaves.

Step 2: Start Spraying

After the random objects are removed from your bathroom, it’s then time to start spraying/spritzing your all-purpose bathroom cleaner on the following places:

  • Sink

  • Toilet (outside and inside)

  • Tile around the base of the toilet

  • Base of the shower/tub

  • Inside the shower (if you have glass shower doors)

Once you spray these noticeable areas down, let the cleaner sit for about 2-3 minutes, until you start the “fun” part: wiping everything down!

Step 3: Wipe Everything Down

Here we go: let the wiping process begin! If you’re looking for the best place to start, then it’s best to go with the toilet first — since that’s the prime destination of any houseguest.

Once that’s complete, it’s time to move onto the sink, faucet, shower/tub base — and then you’re good to go! If you feel inclined, you can even open the window a tad to let some fresh air into the room and rid of the cleaner smell.

Now, when your guests ring that doorbell, you’ll feel more at ease knowing that your bathroom is as clean as the water!
